Two members of the Harvard men’s lacrosse team, Logan Ip and Jack Speidell, have been named to the 2026 Tewaaraton Award Watch List. This list features 50 players recognized as some of the top collegiate lacrosse athletes in the country.
This marks the first time both Ip, a senior midfielder, and Speidell, a junior attackman, have appeared on the watch list. They are also among only 17 total Harvard selections in program history and are the 10th and 11th student-athletes from Harvard to receive this recognition.
Both players previously received Preseason All-America honors from USA Lacrosse Magazine and Inside Lacrosse. Last season, Sam King was Harvard’s only representative on the Tewaaraton watch list; he went on to become a finalist—the first time a Harvard player finished in the top five for this award.
Logan Ip, who hails from California, set career highs last year with 38 points, including 23 goals and 15 assists. He served as a junior captain and achieved a .489 shooting percentage—fifth-best nationally—and put 81 percent of his shots on target. For his performance in 2025, he was named to the USILA Honorable Mention All-America list as well as earning First Team All-Ivy honors.
Jack Speidell had a strong sophomore campaign that earned him third-team preseason recognition this year. The Long Island native averaged over three goals per game last season—ranking eighth nationally—and scored 46 total goals for Harvard. He also collected USA Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American status and made Second Team All-Ivy after posting 59 points along with seven caused turnovers.
The Tewaaraton Award has been presented annually since its founding in 2001 to honor outstanding male and female college lacrosse players in the United States. Selection committees consist of leading collegiate coaches appointed each year by The Tewaaraton Foundation.
