Harvard Men’s Swimming and Diving’s Raphael Tourette finished 16th in the one-meter competition at the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships, according to a March 10 announcement from the team.
Tourette advanced to the finals after scoring 302.05 points in the preliminary round, placing him 11th and securing his spot among the top competitors. He completed the event with a total score of 575.05, earning a final placement of 16th overall.
Another Harvard diver, Chase Shipp, also participated in the one-meter springboard event but did not advance to the finals. Shipp, a first-year athlete, placed 37th with a score of 253.30 points.
The team is now waiting for the NCAA to announce which divers will receive invitations to compete at the national meet. The public release of qualifiers is expected on Wednesday for the NCAA Championships, which are scheduled for March 25–28 in Atlanta, Georgia.
The results mark an important step for Harvard’s divers as they look ahead to potential participation at nationals.
