Harvard sailing finished its 2025-26 collegiate season with a seventh place result at the ICSA Open Fleet Race Nationals, according to a May 22 announcement.
The team scored 98 points in the A division and 132 points in the B division over two days of racing, totaling 230 points overall. The event took place in St. Petersburg, Florida.
On the final day of competition, Harvard moved up from eleventh to seventh place. In the A division, senior Justin Callahan and first-year Jacob Posner consistently placed within the top ten throughout the second day and secured a win in the last race. Their performance earned them second place among all teams in that division, behind only Stanford.
In B division racing, senior Mitchell Callahan and junior Rosella Irfan overcame early setbacks—including a disqualification—to finish strong with several top ten placements by day’s end.
This marks Harvard’s fifth consecutive year finishing in the top ten at this championship event. During the current academic year, Harvard also won national titles at three other ICSA championships: Match Race National Championship, Open Team Race National Championship, and Open Fleet Race National Championship. Robby Meek was named ICSA Open Singlehanded National Champion for Harvard.
