Harvard Sailing won both the Graham Hall Trophy Team Race and the College of Charleston Women’s Team Race during competitions held over the past weekend, according to a March 16 announcement. The victories mark four race wins for Harvard this spring and continue a streak of at least one regatta win in each of the last three weekends.
The results highlight Harvard’s strong performance in collegiate sailing this season. Success at these events demonstrates consistency and depth across both co-ed and women’s team competitions.
At the Graham Hall Trophy Team Race in Annapolis, Maryland, Harvard finished with a record of 21-2, securing first place by three races ahead of runner-up Roger Williams University. The Crimson lineup included Robby Meek-Jacob Posner, Mitchell Callahan-Aidan Pesce, and Justin Callahan, who rotated with Rosella Irfan, Christina Chen, and Xavier Ayala-Vermont. On the first day, Harvard won 13 out of 15 races, only losing to Navy and Roger Williams. The second day saw Harvard dominate again in the Gold Round of 6 with victories over College of Charleston (CofC), Stanford, Navy, and Georgetown. In the Final 4 round, Harvard continued its winning form against CofC and RWU before closing with a win against Georgetown. This is Harvard’s second Graham Hall victory in three years after also winning in 2024.
In Charleston, South Carolina at the College of Charleston Women’s Team Race, Harvard edged out the host school by one victory to claim first place. The Crimson posted a 14-2 record over two days while College of Charleston finished at 13-3. Zoey Ziskind and Peyton Hadfield led as top boat for Harvard; Kate Danielson-Amelie Zucker and Sophia Montgomery-JJ Drummond/Katherine Shin completed the lineup. After going 3-1 in Round 1—including wins over Tulane, Charleston, and U.S. Coast Guard—Harvard went undefeated in Round 2 to finish Saturday at 7-1. Sunday mirrored Saturday’s results: another 7-1 mark after sweeping all four teams in Round 4.
Looking ahead, Harvard will compete next weekend at two local regattas: Tufts University’s Duplin Trophy Women’s Team Race and its own Friis Trophy Team Race.
