Harvard softball will travel to Ithaca, New York, for a three-game Ivy League series against Cornell on April 3 and April 4 at Niemand-Robinson Field. The games are set to begin at noon each day and will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

The upcoming series is important as both teams look to improve their standings in the Ivy League. Harvard enters the weekend with an overall record of 11-14-1 and is tied for second place in the conference with a 3-3 league record. Cornell stands at 12-13 overall and holds a 4-5 mark in Ivy play.

Last week, Harvard opened its home schedule against Dartmouth, highlighted by senior infielder Finley Payne’s walk-off home run that secured a comeback win. Payne now leads the team with six home runs this season. Sophomore Alexa Muller led Harvard during the Dartmouth series with seven hits and eight RBIs; she currently has a .382 batting average this season.

The Crimson pitching staff leads the Ivy League in earned run average (ERA), shutouts, strikeouts per seven innings, and strikeout-to-walk ratio. Junior pitcher Nicolette Hunter ranks third in ERA (2.37) and strikeouts (62), while senior captain Ryan Grace holds an Ivy-best ERA of 1.80 over 35 innings pitched.

Head coach Jenny Rohn is guiding Harvard through her third season after leading the program to consecutive appearances in the Ivy League Tournament and securing a regular-season title last year. The team also features recent award winners: Muller was named Rookie of the Year last season; junior Sophie Sun received Player and Rookie of the Year honors previously; Riley Flynn won Rookie of the Year honors two seasons ago.

Looking ahead, Harvard will return to New England next weekend for another three-game conference matchup at Brown.
