Harvard women’s golf will participate in the 2026 Terps Invitational at the University of Maryland Golf Course on April 5 and 6, according to an announcement on Apr. 1. The tournament marks the second of four events for Harvard this spring as they prepare for the Ivy League Championship later in the month.

The event will feature a competitive field including teams such as Maryland, Virginia, Penn State, Delaware, Kentucky, Florida Atlantic, Richmond, Yale, Navy, Georgetown, Wisconsin, James Madison, Michigan, High Point and Notre Dame. Harvard’s projected lineup includes Vanessa Zhang at number one position followed by Lucy Yuan, Iris Wang (team captain), Bonnie Zhai and Dixon Hill.

This is Harvard’s second consecutive appearance at the Terps Invitational. Last season they finished seventh with a team score of 31-over-par. Vanessa Zhang achieved a notable individual result last year by finishing second with a score of one under par (215). Returning players from last year’s tournament include Iris Wang (T32), Lucy Yuan (T40) and Bonnie Zhai (T59).

So far this season Zhang leads the team with a scoring average of 72.6 over fourteen rounds and holds a head-to-head record of 304-77-3. Yuan has posted an average score of 74.9 through fourteen rounds while senior captain Wang averages 76.7.

In their most recent competition at the Betsy Rawls Invitational hosted by University of Texas Golf Club, Harvard finished fourteenth overall with Yuan and Zhang tying for fifty-second place among strong collegiate competition. Zhang also secured two tournament victories earlier this season at both the Quinnipiac Classic and Lady Blue Hen Invitational.

Following this weekend’s event in College Park, Harvard will travel to Columbus for its final regular-season tournament before conference championships: The Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational hosted by Ohio State University on April 17-18.
