The Harvard women’s ice hockey team ended its 2025-26 season with a loss to Princeton in the third game of the ECAC Tournament Quarterfinals. The final score was 5-1 in favor of the Tigers, who now advance to the semifinals at Lake Placid.

Harvard and Princeton each won one of the first two games, setting up a decisive matchup at Hobey Baker Rink. Princeton scored twice in the first period, taking an early lead that they would not give up for the rest of the game. Harvard’s goaltender Ainsley Tuffy made six saves and her teammates blocked six shots in the opening 11 minutes, but Princeton broke through with two goals before intermission.

In the second period, Princeton added two more goals before Harvard responded. Emi Biotti scored for Harvard after receiving a pass from Zoe Boosamra during a transition play. Despite this effort, Princeton extended its lead by scoring again before the end of the period, making it 5-1 heading into the third.

Harvard created several chances to close the gap in the third period. Boosamra hit the post and Harvard had multiple powerplay opportunities, but could not convert against a strong Princeton defense.

Biotti’s goal was her fourth of the season. Boosamra assisted on that play while Keira Ley led all players with six blocked shots. Tuffy finished with 39 saves.

The Crimson concluded their season with 16 wins overall and eight victories within conference play.
