Harvard women’s lacrosse will return to Ivy League competition against Brown on March 28 as part of the program’s 50th anniversary celebration, following four consecutive non-conference games. The match is set for noon at Jordan Field and will be streamed live on ESPN+.

The upcoming game is significant in the Ivy League standings, with Harvard currently at 0–2 in conference play and Brown holding a record of 1–1. Harvard enters the contest after back-to-back wins over No. 12 Duke and Holy Cross, aiming for its third straight victory.

Saturday’s events will honor five decades of Harvard women’s lacrosse, with alumnae from past years invited to participate in celebrations throughout the day. The Crimson has a historical edge over Brown, leading the all-time series 35–14 heading into their fiftieth meeting.

In their most recent outing, Harvard secured a decisive win against Holy Cross with standout performances from Callie Batchelder and Cecelia Batchelder, who combined for sixteen points. Defensively, Despina Giannakopoulos contributed eight ground balls and three caused turnovers.

Looking back at last season’s matchup between these teams in Providence, Harvard fell short despite an early lead but saw Caroline Mullahy break the Ivy League record for career assists during that game. The last time Harvard hosted Brown at Jordan Field resulted in an eighteen-to-seventeen comeback win after outscoring Brown seven-to-one in the fourth quarter.

Key contributors this season include Callie Batchelder leading with nineteen goals through eight games and Charlotte Hodgson adding sixteen goals so far. On defense, Giannakopoulos continues her leadership role alongside Kate Gilliam.

The Crimson welcomes eight new players as part of its Class of 2029 roster expansion this year. Three newcomers were recognized by Inside Lacrosse Power rankings: Lexie Koch (No.40), Emerson Midura, and Cecelia Batchelder (honorable mentions).

After Saturday’s anniversary matchup against Brown, Harvard looks ahead to continue building on its recent momentum.
