The Harvard women’s squash team, ranked fourth nationally, is preparing to compete in the College Squash Association (CSA) Team National Championships this weekend in Philadelphia. The tournament will be held from March 5 to March 8 at the Arlen Specter U.S. Squash Center and will feature the top 12 teams vying for the Howe Cup and the title of 2026 National Champion.
As the fourth seed, Harvard has received a first-round bye and will begin play in the quarterfinals on Friday, March 6. The Crimson’s opponent will be determined by the outcome of a match between fifth-seeded Trinity and twelfth-seeded Tufts. If Harvard advances, it could face either top-seeded Princeton, eighth-seeded Yale, or ninth-seeded Drexel in Saturday’s semifinal round. The championship match is scheduled for Sunday, March 8 at 3:00 PM.
“Harvard owns a 37-4 record at the CSA Team National Championships under the leadership of Mike Way and his staff,” according to the program. “The team has secured 10 Howe Cup titles under Way and 23 National Championships in total.” Last season, Harvard finished as national runner-up after a close loss to Trinity in the championship match. The Crimson has not previously played Tufts at Nationals but holds a 17-4 record against Trinity at this event.
Five athletes on Harvard’s current roster have experience competing at CSA Nationals. Senior co-captain Saran Nghiem has an individual record of seven wins and one loss across eight matches at Nationals. Fellow senior co-captain Molly Stoltz holds a four-win, four-loss mark in tournament play. Junior Lucie Stefanoni has won four out of five matches; classmate Ella Galova has split her two appearances with one win and one loss. Sophomores Caroline Fouts and Ocean Ma have records of three wins without a loss and two wins with one loss respectively.
This season’s performance includes several notable records among players. Dixon Hill leads with an undefeated record of eleven wins from her position on the ladder during her first year with Harvard. Lucie Stefanoni follows closely with ten wins out of eleven matches from her spot in the lineup. Caroline Fouts has nine wins from her role as top player on the ladder while Saran Nghiem has nine victories as primary No. 3 for Harvard. Both Molly Stoltz and Ona Blasco Puig have recorded eight wins each during this campaign.
