Harvard women’s tennis sweeps Memphis for second straight win

Harvard women’s tennis secured a 4-0 victory over Memphis on Sunday, marking its second consecutive sweep to conclude the weekend. The team improved its season record to 6-5.

The Crimson established an early lead by winning the doubles point. Kate Kim and Claire Shao defeated Natalia Koppova and Rebecca Frant of Memphis with a score of 6-3. Natalie Block and Natasha Rajaram followed with a close 7-5 win against Alicia Mall and Clemence Thouard at the No. 3 spot.

In singles play, Kavya Karra was first to add to Harvard’s tally, defeating Alicia Mall 6-2, 6-1. Stephanie Yakoff then won her match at the top singles position, beating Sofiia Mykhailets in straight sets (6-4, 6-1). Kim clinched the overall match for Harvard by overcoming Emma Dvorackova with scores of 6-3, 6-4.

Several matches were unfinished when Harvard reached four points. The Crimson will next face Quinnipiac at home on Saturday, February 28 at noon ET.
