The Harvard women’s water polo team, ranked No. 13 nationally, will conclude its 2026 home schedule this Sunday by hosting Siena University and the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) at Blodgett Pool in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

The matchup against Siena is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. and will be broadcast on NESN, marking the program’s first-ever appearance on linear television. The day wraps up with a game against VMI at 3:00 p.m., available on ESPN+.

Harvard aims to finish its home season undefeated, currently holding an 8-0 record at Blodgett Pool. After Sunday’s games, the Crimson will play their next eight matches on the road as they prepare for the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Championships in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Recent performances have highlighted individual and team achievements. Maya O’Dea was named CWPA Player of the Week following her contributions at the Harvard Invite, where she recorded 12 goals and seven assists. Petra Klemm earned CWPA Rookie of the Week honors after scoring nine goals and providing two assists during the same tournament.

During the Harvard Invite, the Crimson secured four consecutive victories, outscoring opponents by a combined total of 61-25. The team defeated Villanova 19-7 and UC Merced 22-5 on Saturday. On Sunday morning, Harvard overcame No. 14 Princeton with an 8-5 win before closing out with a 14-8 victory over Marist.

In their match against Princeton, Harvard established an early lead with first-quarter goals from Maya O’Dea, Petra Klemm, and Emma Gilbert. The momentum continued into the second quarter as O’Dea completed a hat trick and Lucy Berkman added another goal. Additional scores from Petra Klemm and Niki Piovan helped secure a conference win over their division rival.

Sunday’s contest against Siena marks their first meeting since 2019 and first home game versus Siena since 2016. Harvard has won its last twelve games against Siena. Against VMI, Harvard holds three wins in as many meetings since 2014; their most recent encounter was in 2022 when Harvard defeated VMI 21-5 at the Princeton Invitational.

Following this weekend’s games, Harvard will travel to California for seven consecutive matches beginning March 14 against UC San Diego.
