The Harvard women’s squash team, ranked No. 1 nationally, ended its regular season with a decisive 9-0 victory over No. 11 Tufts in Medford, Massachusetts. This win brings the Crimson’s record to 8-2 overall and 4-2 in Ivy League play.
During the match, Harvard dropped only two games across all contests. The team’s top three players led with strong performances: Carolien Fouts secured a 3-0 win at the top position, outscoring her opponent 33-16; Lucie Stefanoni also won 3-0, with a score differential of 33-17; and Ocean Ma, competing at number three on the ladder, achieved another sweep by outscoring her opponent 33-15.
In the middle of the lineup, Ona Blasco Puig earned a four-game victory after winning the last two games by a combined score of 22-6. Dixon Hill marked her first appearance at fifth position with a straight-games win. Jomana Ahmed completed a sweep at sixth position with a cumulative score of 33-16.
Ella Galova played seventh for Harvard and was leading before her Tufts opponent retired from the match due to injury. At eighth position, Molly Stoltz claimed close wins in her final two games for a clean sweep. Migyu Kim made her debut for Harvard at ninth position and won her match without dropping a game.
The results reflect Harvard’s fifth clean sweep this season against collegiate opponents.
Looking ahead, Harvard will compete in the Ivy League Women’s Squash Tournament in New Jersey on February 21 and 22. The team is scheduled to face second-seeded Penn Quakers in the semifinals on Saturday at 3:30 PM. The match will be broadcast live on the Ivy League Streaming Platform.
