Harvard University’s wrestling team is set to compete in two matches in New York this weekend. The team will first face Columbia at noon, with the match available on ESPN+. Later, Harvard will take on Hofstra at 1:00 p.m., which will be streamed on Flowrestling.

After a week off, the Crimson returns following a split result against Princeton and Penn. In their recent home opener at the Malkin Athletic Center (MAC), Harvard secured its first home win over Princeton since 2008. The outcome was decided in the final bout, with victories from Matthew Walsh, Dylan Greenstein, and Hudson Skove helping the team come from behind to defeat Princeton. This marks Harvard’s second win over Princeton in four seasons.

However, Harvard lost to Penn by a score of 33-4. Jimmy Harrington earned the only win for the Crimson during that meet with a major decision.

Currently, Harvard holds an overall record of 4-5 and is 1-2 in conference competition. Last season, Columbia defeated Harvard at the MAC. The upcoming match against Hofstra will be their first meeting since the 2022-23 season when Harvard won 25-11. In that previous encounter, Joseph Cangro secured a decision victory while Jack Crook achieved a major decision.

Following these matches, Harvard will conclude its regular season at Brown University on February 22.
