Holy Cross baseball team falls to Portland; Brett Mulligan pitches two innings

Former Catholic Memorial High School standout Brett Mulligan took the mound for the Holy Cross Crusaders, who fell 13-3 to the Portland Pilots in their NCAA Division I baseball matchup held Saturday, March 7, at 3 p.m.

The contest was hosted at Joe Etzel Field, marking the teams’ third meeting this season. In the previous matchup Friday, March 6, the Crusaders were defeated 10-4.

Mulligan pitched two innings, permitting two earned runs, with two walks and two strikeouts.

The Crusaders are set to face the Portland Pilots again Sunday, March 8, at 12 p.m. at Joe Etzel Field.
