Junior Ingrid Eshuis of the Boston University women’s rowing team was named to the Academic All-Patriot League team, according to a May 21 announcement from the league.

The recognition highlights both academic and athletic achievements among student-athletes in the Patriot League. The honor is awarded to those who excel in their studies while making significant contributions to their teams.

Eshuis is pursuing a degree in political science with a minor in French studies and has earned a 3.630 grade point average. She was recently named to the First Team All-Patriot League after helping the Varsity 8+ win Boat of the Year for the third consecutive year at the Patriot League Championship. Eshuis has rowed in the Varsity 8+ boat during each of her three years at Boston University’s league meet, contributing to three straight Patriot League titles for her team.

During this regular season, she was part of a crew that earned Boat of the Week honors after finishing ahead of No. 12 Rutgers at Eastern Sprints. Eshuis also played a role as Boston University won the Council Cup over Northeastern for the first time in three years. This marks her first selection to an Academic All-Patriot League team.

Looking ahead, Eshuis and her teammates will compete at Lake Lanier Olympic Park in Gainesville, Georgia, for the NCAA Championships on Friday, May 29.
