Senior Connor Kehm and sophomore Timothy Shannehan from the Boston University men’s lacrosse team were named Inside Lacrosse Midseason All-Americans, according to an announcement on April 3.
The recognition highlights the strong performances of both players during the current season. Being selected as midseason All-Americans places Kehm and Shannehan among the top collegiate lacrosse athletes in the country at this stage of competition.
Shannehan is averaging 5.22 points per game, which ranks third nationally and first in the Patriot League. He is also tied for tenth in assists per game (2.33) and sixteenth in goals per game (2.89) across all NCAA players. So far this season, he leads Boston University with 26 goals, 21 assists, and a total of 47 points. Over his career, Shannehan has accumulated 108 points on 58 goals and 50 assists, reaching membership in the program’s ’50-50 club’—at least fifty goals and fifty assists—in just twenty-five games.
Kehm serves as one of four team captains for Boston University. He leads his team with twenty-one caused turnovers and ranks second with forty-one ground balls collected this season. Kehm also leads the Patriot League with an average of 2.33 caused turnovers per game—a figure that ties him for seventh place nationally—and is seventh among non-faceoff specialists nationwide with an average of 4.56 ground balls per game. In addition to his defensive contributions, Kehm has three assists this year and scored his first collegiate goal against Harvard on March 24.
The selections underscore both players’ impact on their team’s performance so far this season.
