Freshman goaltender Louka Cloutier was named the Stop It Goaltending Goaltender of the Week, according to a March 16 announcement from the league office.
The recognition comes after Cloutier recorded his fourth shutout of the season by making 18 saves against Maine in the Hockey East quarterfinals on Friday. This is his fifth weekly award this season and his third time earning Goaltender of the Week honors.
Cloutier’s performance highlights his growing impact as a key player for the Eagles during an important stretch of postseason play. The repeated awards reflect both consistency and excellence in goal throughout his freshman campaign.
Looking ahead, Cloutier and the Eagles will face UConn in the Hockey East semifinals at TD Garden on Friday night. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. puck drop and will be broadcast on NESN+ and ESPN+, with radio coverage available on WEEI 850 AM.
The upcoming semifinal presents another opportunity for Cloutier to contribute to his team’s postseason success.
