Boston College senior defenseman Lukas Gustafsson has signed an American Hockey League contract with the Manitoba Moose, according to an April 2 announcement. The deal will begin in the 2026-27 season. For the remainder of the current season, Gustafsson will join the Moose on an Amateur Tryout Agreement.

Gustafsson completed his final college hockey season as captain, finishing fifth in points and assists among Boston College Eagles players. He led all defensemen on his team with 22 points and 16 assists. His performance included six multi-point games and a three-point game against Boston University during the Beanpot Championship. He was named a Hockey East Third Team All-Star after scoring four goals and eight assists over 24 league games.

Over his four-year career at Boston College, Gustafsson played in 147 games as a defenseman, recording a total of 14 goals and 58 assists for 72 points. The Atlanta native contributed to two Hockey East regular season titles, one Hockey East Tournament Championship, one Beanpot victory, and helped guide his team to its twelfth National Championship appearance during the 2023-24 season.

The move marks a new step for Gustafsson as he transitions from collegiate hockey to professional play with Manitoba’s AHL affiliate.
