Senior Maeve Kelly of the Boston University women’s ice hockey team has been recognized as the Army ROTC Defender of the Week by Hockey East. The announcement was made on Monday.

Kelly played a key role in Boston University’s 3-1 victory over Providence on Friday, scoring the game-winning goal during a power play in the third period. This marked her first goal of the season and the third of her collegiate career. In addition to her goal, Kelly assisted on an empty-net goal, contributing two points in the game. This performance was her third career multi-point game and her first since the 2025 Hockey East championship.

The Terriers are scheduled to return to Walter Brown Arena on Wednesday, where they will face Providence again in the opening round of the Hockey East tournament. The game is set to begin at 6 p.m.
