Matthew Morden was named to the All-ECAC third team, the league announced on March 10.

Morden’s recognition comes after a strong season in conference play, where he scored three goals and provided ten assists over 22 games. He ranked third on his team in points and had three multi-point games in Ivy League competition, including a notable three-point performance against Princeton on February 27.

As the only representative from Harvard Crimson Men’s Ice Hockey on this year’s All-League team, Morden achieved a career-best season as a defenseman. Over the regular season, he recorded four goals and fourteen assists, tripling his point total from his sophomore year. He also managed to earn points in consecutive games six times during the season.

Since January 1, Morden has been one of only four ECAC defensemen with four multi-point games. He led Harvard in overall points heading into the playoffs since the start of the new year.

Morden’s selection highlights his consistent contributions and reliability on both ends of the ice throughout the season.
