The Northeastern Huskies kept their season alive on May 23 with a 7-3 victory over the University of North Carolina Wilmington Seahawks in the Colonial Athletic Association Baseball Championship at Brooks Field.

The win allows Northeastern to continue its title defense in the double-elimination tournament. The Huskies trailed entering the bottom of the eighth inning before scoring five runs, turning a one-run deficit into a four-run lead.

Harrison Feinberg tied the game with a solo home run, his sixteenth of the season and forty-eighth of his career. Carmelo Musacchia followed with a two-RBI single that gave Northeastern the lead for good. Two additional runs scored on wild pitches and an error. Andrew Rogovic pitched two scoreless innings in relief for the win, while Andrew Wertz closed out the ninth inning without allowing a run. Starter Luc Rising recorded eleven strikeouts over six innings, matching his career high.

Earlier in the game, Northeastern scored twice in the second inning thanks to singles from AJ Aschettino and Charlie Criscola, as well as hits by Musacchia and Will Fosberg. The Seahawks responded with three runs across later innings to take a brief lead before Northeastern’s late rally decided the outcome.

Feinberg finished 2-for-4 at bat with one home run and one single; Musacchia also went 2-for-4, driving in two runs and scoring twice himself. The Huskies drew six walks during their patient offensive approach.

Northeastern will play again on Saturday at Brooks Field against either Campbell or Hofstra as they continue through the elimination bracket.
