Northeastern women’s rowing advances all boats to C Finals at NCAA Championship

The Northeastern women’s rowing team advanced all three boats to the C Finals at the 2026 NCAA Rowing Championship at Lake Lanier Olympic Park in Gainesville, Georgia, following heats and semifinals on May 29.

In Friday’s heats, the first varsity eight, stroked by Ava Sjogren, finished fifth with a time of 6:30.636. The second varsity eight, stroked by Evie Gaylord, also placed fifth in 6:27.941. The varsity four secured sixth place with a time of 7:15.185.

During the semifinals, the first varsity eight coxed by Isabella Hsia took third in the C/D semifinals with a time of 6:25.014. The second varsity eight coxed by Norah Smith matched that result with a third-place finish in 6:31.895, while the varsity four coxed by Isabella Leao also placed third with a time of 7:19.627.

The finals are scheduled for Sunday and will begin with the varsity four at 8:24 a.m., followed by the second varsity eight at 8:48 a.m., and conclude with the first varsity eight at 9:12 a.m.

Detailed lane assignments and times for each boat were provided following Friday’s races.
