The Northeastern women’s rowing team finished 18th in the Division I team standings at the 2026 NCAA Rowing Championship, according to a May 31 report. The event took place at Lake Lanier Olympic Park in Gainesville, Georgia, and marked the Huskies’ 12th consecutive appearance at the national championship.

All three Northeastern boats—the varsity eight, second varsity eight, and varsity four—posted their fastest times ever recorded at an NCAA Championship. The varsity four started the final day with a fifth-place finish in the C Final, clocking in at 7:02.799. This time was less than a second behind fourth-place Ohio State and surpassed the previous program record by 25 seconds. The result also tied Northeastern’s best-ever finish for this boat class at NCAAs.

In the second varsity eight event, Northeastern secured fourth place in the C Final with a time of 6:16.721, narrowly beating Ohio State by just under two seconds. This performance matched their highest placement historically for this category and improved upon their prior best time by 20 seconds.

The varsity eight concluded competition with a sixth-place finish in its C Final but set another program milestone by posting a time of 6:20.142—over ten seconds faster than any previous showing by Northeastern’s top boat at nationals.

Each lineup included student-athletes who contributed to these results across all events, as detailed by seat assignments and times reported from each race segment.
