The Northeastern women’s rowing team will begin its 2026 spring season at the Doc Hosea Invitational on March 29 in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. The Huskies are scheduled to compete against No. 12 Syracuse and No. 9 Virginia in the morning, followed by a matchup with No. 3 Yale in the afternoon.

This event marks Northeastern’s fifth consecutive appearance at the Doc Hosea Invitational, where six boats—four eights and two fours—will represent the team. The program is coming off an impressive streak as defending champions of eleven straight Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) titles.

Northeastern’s schedule for this spring includes five races: one home race on the Charles River and four away competitions before heading into the CAA Championships. The team features several rowers who have garnered attention ahead of the new season. Sophomore Stina Dewes, along with freshmen Maddy Croker and Evie Gaylord, were each named to the 2026 FSN Watchlist for Division I Women’s Rowing. Dewes played a key role in last year’s CAA title run, while Croker and Gaylord arrive with notable accomplishments from their pre-collegiate careers.

The morning session will see races beginning at 8:10 am with Varsity Four (V4), followed by Second Varsity Eight (2V8), Varsity Eight (V8), Second Varsity Four (2V4), Third Varsity Eight (3V8), and Fourth Varsity Eight (4V8). Afternoon races start at noon with similar events continuing through mid-afternoon.

Looking ahead, Northeastern is set to return to competition on April 4 when it hosts Boston University.
