On Sunday, March 9, former East Boston High School standout Joel Valera’s current college team, the SNHU Penmen, lost 4-3 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Dominican Chargers.

The game took place at USA Baseball National Training Complex. This was their first matchup against the Chargers this season.

The Penmen’s next game is scheduled for Friday, March 14 at 12 p.m. at Creekview Park against East Stroudsburg Warriors.
