Boston Bruins forward Pavel Zacha has been named the National Hockey League’s Third Star of the Month for March, according to an April 1 announcement by the league.
Zacha’s recognition comes after a standout month in which he led all NHL skaters with 13 goals. His performance contributed to Boston achieving a 10‑3‑3 record in March, tying them for the second-most wins among all teams during that period.
The league said Zacha became only the fourth Bruins player in the past 50 years to outright lead the NHL in goals for a calendar month. He also led with a shooting percentage of 37.1 percent, given at least ten shots taken, and tied for first place with five power play goals.
Throughout March, Zacha recorded points in 13 out of Boston’s 16 games and had seven multi-point performances. He ended the month on a five-game point streak, accumulating five goals and four assists over those contests. The team noted that he set a new career high with his 28th goal and reached his first-ever 60-point season when he registered an assist during his milestone 700th career NHL game against Dallas on March 31.
Zacha’s achievements reflect both personal milestones and significant contributions to Boston’s strong run as they head into April.
