Boston College lost to Providence 2–1 in overtime on Friday night at Kelley Rink. The game was decided by a power-play goal from the Friars 3:43 into the extra period.
The Eagles opened the scoring early, with Maxim Tremblay converting a setup from Lauren Glaser during a power play at 2:55 of the first period. Providence tied the game later in the opening frame with their own power-play goal at 6:10.
Both teams remained even through regulation, as goaltenders for each side made key saves. Boston College held an advantage in shots on goal throughout regulation and controlled faceoffs, winning nearly 60 percent of draws. The Eagles finished with 36 shots, including 16 in the second period, and won the faceoff battle 31–21, led by Alanna Devlin who won over 80 percent of her draws.
Senior goaltender Grace Campbell made 30 saves for Boston College, including turning aside 12 shots in the third period to keep her team level heading into overtime.
Providence ultimately scored on a power play in overtime to secure victory.
Boston College now holds a record of 13-17-1 overall and will next play Northeastern at Bentley Arena on Sunday.

Grace Campbell’s performance included stopping all but two of Providence’s attempts, making several important saves to maintain a tie during regulation.
