Harvard University alumnus Rémi Drolet ’24 represented Team Canada in cross-country skiing at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, marking his second appearance at the Winter Olympics. Drolet competed in four events during the Games.
He began with the men’s 10km + 10km skiathlon on February 8, finishing 42nd out of 75 competitors with a time of 50:22.0. In the men’s sprint classic held on February 10, he placed 56th among 95 racers, recording a qualification round time of 3:27.72.
Drolet achieved his best individual result in the men’s 10km interval start freestyle on February 13, securing the 19th position in a field of 113 athletes with a time of 21:50.8. He concluded his Olympic participation by helping Team Canada finish fifth in the men’s 4×7.5km relay, taking on the third leg and competing in freestyle. The team completed the event with a total time of 1:05:36.8, following Norway, France, Italy, and Finland.
This appearance adds to Drolet’s previous experience representing Canada at the Beijing Winter Olympics in 2022. At Harvard, he ended his collegiate career as a three-time All-American and NCAA qualifier and was named NCAA Champion in 2023. In November of that year, he received NCAA Today’s Top 10 honors for achievements both athletically and academically.
During his senior year at Harvard in 2024, Drolet earned First Team All-America recognition after placing fourth in the men’s 20k classic at the NCAA Championships and was awarded several academic distinctions including Academic All-Ivy and CSC Academic All-District honors.
Earlier accomplishments include winning First Team All-America honors by capturing first place in the men’s 20k classic at the NCAA Championships during the previous season and earning EISA Nordic Rookie of the Year as a freshman before taking leave to compete internationally when collegiate competitions were canceled due to COVID-19 restrictions.
