Ryan Healey scored in the first period to give Harvard a 1-0 lead, with assists from Michael Callow and Justin Solovey. Healey’s goal came after he received the puck in the slot and beat RPI’s goaltender.
In the second period, Harvard’s sophomore goaltender Ben Charette made 15 saves, stopping several scoring chances by RPI and maintaining Harvard’s lead going into the third period.
RPI responded in the third period with two power-play goals, taking advantage of a five-minute major penalty assessed to Richard Gallant for high sticking. The Engineers added an empty-net goal late in the game, securing a 3-1 victory over Harvard.
Harvard will conclude its regular season next weekend with games against Princeton and Quinnipiac.
