Six Boston College athletes to compete in NCAA East First Round in Kentucky

Imogen Gardiner, Natalie Millerova, Sydney Segalla, Anna Sonsini, Anna Becker, and Gina Certo will represent Boston College at the 2026 NCAA East First Round, which will be held at the University of Kentucky Outdoor Track & Field Complex from May 27-30. The athletes are aiming to qualify for the NCAA Championships scheduled for mid-June.

Boston College will have four athlete groups competing across Thursday and Saturday evening events. Millerova and Gardiner are set to begin with the 1500-meter race at 6:30 p.m. EST on Thursday, followed by Segalla in the 400-meter event at 8:20 p.m. EST. Both groups aim to advance to Saturday’s quarterfinals.

On Saturday, Gardiner is also scheduled to participate in the 5000-meter semifinal at 8:10 p.m. EST. The team of Becker, Certo, Segalla, and Sonsini will compete in the 4×400 relay quarterfinal at 8:45 p.m. EST.

Gardiner and Segalla have led Boston College during this outdoor season by breaking school records in both the 400-meter and 1500-meter races while also achieving top-10 program marks in other events including the 200 meters, 5000 meters, as well as both relay categories. All traveling athletes are seeking their first qualification for the NCAA Championships as Boston College representatives.
