Boston University junior Sophie Naivar was named to NCAA Softball’s Lineup of the Week, according to an announcement by Michella Chester on March 25. Naivar earned this recognition after contributing significantly to her team’s five consecutive wins with a .789 on-base percentage.

This acknowledgment highlights Naivar’s performance over the past week, during which she helped drive Boston University’s success on the field. Her achievements included going 7-for-11 at bat, scoring seven runs, collecting four RBIs, hitting two doubles, and being walked seven times. She also reached base once after being hit by a pitch.

Naivar was one of three outfielders selected for the lineup. In her first game against Stonehill, she batted perfectly with two hits in two at-bats and scored twice. During a three-game series against Lafayette, she achieved four hits in five at-bats and tied a program record by drawing four walks in one game. She continued her strong performance with two hits in each of the last two games against Lafayette.

Looking ahead, Boston University is set to begin a nine-game homestand starting later today against the defending Big East champion at 3 p.m., followed by hosting Lehigh for a Patriot League weekend series.

The team’s ongoing schedule provides further opportunities for standout performances as they continue their season.
