Graduates earn 1,470 degrees, certificates from Berklee College of Music

About 93.2 percent of the 1,470 degrees and certificates handed out by Berklee College of Music in 2017-18 were to students in visual and performing arts programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Boston conferred 1113 bachelor's degrees and 226 master's degrees in visual and performing arts programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in "other" music. Data shows the school gave out 500 bachelor's degrees in "other" music, followed by 178 bachelor's degrees in music technology and 157 bachelor's degrees in general music performance.

The college enrolled 6,963 students for 2017-18, including 6,400 in undergraduate programs and 563 in graduate programs.
