77 percent of applicants to Newbury College were admitted for fall 2018

At Newbury College, 88 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 54 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Brookline enrolled 636 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 4.7 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

53 percent of undergraduates are residents of Massachusetts, and 40 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (28 percent) and Black or African American (22 percent).

The school admitted 77 percent of the 3,038 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 8 percent enrolled.
