19 percent of applicants to Northeastern University were admitted for fall 2018

At Northeastern University, 99 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 52 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Boston enrolled 21,627 students in fall 2018, including 13,909 in undergraduate and 7,718 in graduate programs, data shows. 3.2 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

19 percent of undergraduates are residents of Massachusetts, and 64 percent are residents of other states. 16 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (45 percent) and Asian (14 percent).

The school admitted 19 percent of the 62,272 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 23 percent enrolled.
