Cost of college went up for all students at Berklee College of Music

Tuition and fees rose 3.3 percent for 2018-19 at Berklee College of Music, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Massachusetts students paid $44,140 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,390 more than the $42,750 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 70 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 729 students received grants or scholarships totaling $14.1 million and 511 students took out student loans totaling more than $6.6 million.

Including all undergraduates (6,963), 3,459 students used grants or scholarships totaling $59.5 million, and 2,305 students took out $16.3 million in federal student loans.
