After collecting wins over six different programs at the two-day Lake Wheeler Invitational, the Boston University women's rowing varsity eight has been named the Patriot League Boat of the Week, the conference office announced Wednesday afternoon.
Coxed by senior Mia Ball and stroked by junior Kat Robbins, the Terriers' top boat started off with a time of 6:40.63 on Friday to defeat both Georgetown and Kansas and later that day raced faster than both crews again along with North Carolina. In Saturday's final race, the Terriers defeated defending PL champion Navy by more than three seconds while also collecting wins over Temple and Boston College.
Other rowers on the boat included freshman Luisa Reussner, senior Megan Mastrorilli, senior Lexi Wright, sophomore Anna Dechantsreiter, junior Susan Cook, freshman Mariana Forehand and sophomore Bianca Saffirio.
The Terriers will next participate in the Eastern Sprints on Sunday (May 1).
