Senior Sydney Healey from the Boston University women’s ice hockey team has been named the Boston Children’s Hospital Co-Player of the Week, according to an announcement from Hockey East on Monday.

Healey played a key role in her team’s final two games of the season, scoring three out of four goals for Boston University. In the opening round of the Hockey East tournament against Providence, she scored on a shorthanded opportunity and later added another goal into an empty net. During the quarterfinals against Northeastern, Healey scored the tying goal that sent the game into double overtime. She finished with a +3 rating against Providence and +1 against Northeastern.

This is Healey’s second weekly award this season, with her previous recognition coming on February 2. It is also her fourth such honor during her college career. Healey ends her season with personal bests in all scoring categories: 29 points from 18 goals and 11 assists. She also recorded four shorthanded goals, leading Hockey East in that statistic and surpassing her previous record, as she had not scored any shorthanded goals before this season. Additionally, she set a new career high with four game-winning goals.

“Tara Watchorn, Head Coach at Boston Terrier Women’s Ice Hockey,” said about Healey’s performance: “Her impact on both ends of the ice has been remarkable throughout this season.”
