Teddy Malone, a senior attack for Harvard’s men’s lacrosse team, has been named the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week after his performance in the team’s season-opening win against Providence. The announcement was made by the conference on Monday.
Malone led No. 12 Harvard with six points, including four goals and two assists, as the Crimson defeated Providence 10-4. This marks Malone’s first time receiving the Offensive Player of the Week award and is his third career weekly honor from the Ivy League.
“A senior attack, Malone carried over his strong play from 2025 into the 2026 season opener against Providence. He tied his career high in points during the contest, posting six with a team high four goals and two assists,” according to the university’s release. “The Delaware native scored one goal in the first quarter, one in the second and two in the third to help Harvard pull away from the Friars and earn a 10-4 victory.”
Malone also contributed defensively by collecting two ground balls. Harvard held Providence scoreless for more than 30 minutes and allowed only one goal over the final three quarters.
Malone previously earned Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors twice in 2023. After Saturday’s win, he and his teammates are preparing for upcoming non-conference games against Colgate on February 17 and Syracuse on February 21 at Jordan Field. Both games will be streamed live on ESPN+, while Tuesday’s matchup with Colgate will also air regionally on NESN.
Tickets remain available for both contests through GoCrimson.com/tickets.
