Harvard University announced on Apr. 7 that Adriano Arioti, David Greeley, and David Schmitt from the men’s swimming and diving team have been selected for the 2025-26 Academic All-District Team by the College Sports Communicators.

The recognition highlights student-athletes who excel both in athletic competition and academics. The award is intended to honor those who demonstrate strong performances in their sport while maintaining high academic standards.

David Schmitt has now earned this distinction twice, having previously received it in 2025. For Adriano Arioti and David Greeley, this marks their first time being named to the Academic All-District Team. According to Harvard’s announcement, “The team recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and classroom.”

Eligibility requirements for selection include being at least a sophomore, holding a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50, competing in at least 75 percent of a team’s competitions or finishing among the top eight at their conference meet or participating at the NCAA Championships.

Honorees from each district are eligible for consideration on the CSC Academic All-America ballot. Arioti was also noted as an NCAA Championship participant and has advanced for consideration as an Academic All-America honoree. The final teams will be announced on April 29.

This recognition places these athletes among those considered outstanding both academically and athletically within collegiate sports.
