Harvard University announced on May 21 that two members of its women’s heavyweight rowing team, Lindsey Brail and Jenna Kempster-Taylor, have been named to the All-Ivy League Team. Brail received first-team honors while Kempster-Taylor was selected for the second team.
The recognition highlights the achievements of both student-athletes during the Ivy League Championship held at Cooper River Park this past weekend. The official announcement was made by the conference on Wednesday.
Brail competed in the four-seat position for Harvard’s varsity eight boat, contributing to her team’s performance throughout the championship. Kempster-Taylor rowed in the bow seat during the same event. Both athletes played key roles in helping their crew advance to the grand final at the Ivy League Championship.
The selections reflect their commitment and skill over their collegiate rowing careers as seniors on the team. The All-Ivy honors are awarded each year based on performances at championship events and are regarded as a significant achievement within collegiate rowing circles.
Looking ahead, both Brail and Kempster-Taylor’s contributions will be remembered as they complete their senior seasons with Harvard.
