The start time for the opening game of the NCAA Athens Baseball Regional has been moved up due to the possibility of inclement weather, according to a May 28 announcement. The adjustment affects Friday’s schedule at Foley Field in Athens.

Game one, featuring Boston College and Liberty, is now set to begin at 12:06 p.m. The matchup will still be streamed on ESPN+ as originally planned.

Spectators are advised that gates will open one hour before the newly scheduled first pitch.

The change was made in response to anticipated weather conditions that could impact play on Friday.
