Bean Town Times

About 18.6 percent of the 3,812 degrees and certificates handed out by the University of Massachusetts-Boston in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Boston conferred 488 bachelor's degrees and 208 master's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in general business administration and management. Data shows the school gave out 486 bachelor's degrees in general business administration and management, followed by 261 bachelor's degrees in general psychology and 194 bachelor's degrees in general biology/biological sciences.

The university enrolled 16,164 students for 2017-18, including 12,714 in undergraduate programs and 3,450 in graduate programs.
