85 percent of applicants to Suffolk University were admitted for fall 2018

At Suffolk University, 94 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 55 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Boston enrolled 7,186 students in fall 2018, including 5,044 in undergraduate and 2,142 in graduate programs, data shows. 6.8 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

56 percent of undergraduates are residents of Massachusetts, and 29 percent are residents of other states. 14 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (47 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (13 percent).

The school admitted 85 percent of the 8,325 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 17 percent enrolled.
