Cost of college went up for all students at the Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology

Tuition and fees rose 0.6 percent for 2018-19 at the Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Massachusetts students paid $17,550 to attend the four-year public institution this year – $100 more than the $17,450 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 98 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 171 students received grants or scholarships totaling $1.8 million and 140 students took out student loans totaling more than $864,755.

Including all undergraduates (630), 507 students used grants or scholarships totaling $4.6 million, and 402 students took out $2.6 million in federal student loans.
