The Boston University women's golf team wrapped up play at the Edisto Island Invitational on Tuesday and finished 10th of 14 teams in the three-round tournament at The Plantation Course.
The Terriers posted a 313 on the final day to drop two spots from eighth and finish plus-58 for the tournament. Charleston Southern came from behind to top tournament host College of Charleston by three strokes for the team title.
Junior Flair Kuan posted a 72 in the third round to secure a top-10 finish as her 217 (+4) tied her for ninth in the 80-golfer field. She recorded four birdies - all on the back 9 - and was 1-over on the day.
After staying in contention for the individual title through two rounds, sophomore Christy Chen had a setback on Tuesday, scoring an 81 to fall to a tie for 21st at 222 (+9).
Senior Alice Fan recorded a 76 for the second straight day and finished the tournament tied for 61st at 234 (+21) while classmate Monica Yu closed with an 84 to turn in a total score of 237 (+24). Fan had a pair of birdies on the day but was held back by a quadruple bogey on hole 11.
The Terriers will return to action on Sunday (Oct. 16) for the opening round of the Sacred Heart Fall Invite.
