Sophomore Daisy Liljegren of Boston University women's cross country earned her second consecutive Patriot League Female Runner of the Week honor, the conference announced Tuesday.
Liljegren had an impressive showing at the Panorama Farms XC Invitational at Virginia. She finished sixth in the 5K in a field of 173 runners. Her time of 16:51.2 set a new career best.
Her performance helped the Terriers to a 10-of-18 finish in a field that included multiple top teams in the NCAA. BU notably finished ahead of local rival Boston College in the race.
The Terriers will have an off weekend before traveling to Bucknell for the Patriot League Championship on Oct. 29.
