The Lead: The Emerson Lions Women's Basketball team was led by double-doubles by Chelsea Gibbons, Devin Hill, and Ella Bushee as they defeated the Lions of Eastern Nazarene on Tuesday evening at Lahue Athletic Center in Quincy, MA.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lions offense struggled in the first quarter, only converting 6 0f 21 attempts (28.6%), including only converting one of eight three pointers. Senior Chelsea Gibbons kept Emerson close by dropping 7 of her game-high 21 points in the first 10 minutes.
- Eastern Nazarene shot well from the field in the first quarter. Converting on eight of sixteen shots (50%), including knocking down three shots from behind the arc. Eastern Nazarene held a 20-14 lead after one quarter.
- The second quarter saw Emerson's offense come to life; led by Sophomore Devin Hill. Hill dropped in 7 of her game-high 21 points to help bring Emerson to within four points of Eastern Nazarene. At the end of two quarters, Eastern Nazarene led by a score of 42-38.
- Hill continued to light it up in the third quarter as she went 4-4 from the field, scoring 8 more points. Eastern Nazarene's Delaney Walker matched Hill with 8 points of her own, but Emerson was able to take a 61-60 lead after three quarters.
- Gibbons again led Emerson in the fourth quarter, scoring 6 more points and pulling down 7 of her game-high 11 rebounds. Emerson outscored Eastern Nazarene 20-14 in the fourth quarter and 43-32 in the second half; helping them secure an 81-74 victory on Tuesday night.
