Wiring Gaia in the Anthropocene: “Smart Earth” Digital Technologies and Environmental Futures

A presentation from 2022–2023 Matina S. Horner Distinguished Visiting Professor Karen Bakker

Bakker is an author, professor, and researcher of environmental governance and innovation. Through a book and web portal, she will explore how the tools of the Digital Age could be mobilized to address some of the most pressing socio-environmental challenges of the Anthropocene, including biodiversity loss, climate change, and water insecurity.

We plan to post the recording on our website later in February.
