Black or African American was the most represented ethnicity among KIPP Academy Boston Charter School District students in the 2022-23 school year, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

In total, there were 342 Black or African American students enrolled, accounting for 59.3% of the district's student body.

The number of Black or African American students attending schools in the district decreased 10.5% from the previous school year.

Meanwhile, Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander students were the least represented ethnic group within the schools in KIPP Academy Boston Charter School District.

KIPP Academy Boston Charter School District roughly covers schools within Suffolk County, and has a main office in Mattapan.

The total number of students attending the district’s schools fell to 577 over the 2022-23 school year.

Students in Massachusetts are predominantly white, according to state data from 2023-24, representing 53% of the state's student body.

Across the state, Hispanic and Latino students saw the highest high school dropout rates.

Under representation is also found among educators in Massachusetts. The Rennie Center reported that only 7.8% of teachers identified as people of color in 2022.
