Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Massachusetts’ 7th district since 2019, recently shared her thoughts and activities through a series of tweets. Pressley has been actively involved in addressing food insecurity, advocating for criminal justice reform, and supporting community education initiatives.

On November 25, 2024, Pressley expressed her gratitude for Shirley's Pantry's efforts during their annual Thanksgiving food drive. She stated: "It's always a joy to join Mrs. Shillingford and the team at Shirley's Pantry for their annual Thanksgiving food drive. Grateful for all they do to address food insecurity and keep our communities fed this holiday season and year-round."

Later that day, she addressed the issue of mass incarceration, highlighting its personal significance to her. Pressley urged the President to use clemency powers to tackle this problem: "Mass incarceration is one of our country's greatest failures—and it's deeply personal to me. @POTUS must use his clemency authority to confront mass incarceration, reunite families, & advance healing. We must do everything in our power to save lives while we still can."

On November 26, 2024, Pressley celebrated the opening of justBook-ish in Dorchester, praising it as a vital space against censorship: "The attack on our books and right to learn has been relentless. Grateful for spaces like justBook-ish in Dorchester that stand in the gap, center a community-focused mission, & help us push back against the silencing of voices. It was a joy to celebrate their grand opening."
